Indian average for the nuclear power generation engineering jobs is at about Rs. 8.44 lakh annually.

Aerospace Engineering

Next in the list of high-flyers are Aerospace Engineers or Rocket Scientists. The interdisciplinary domain of mechanical, instrumentation and designing is at the third spot when it comes to the salaries received. Much similar to the package received by nuclear engineers, aerospace engineers make about $97,000 to $143,000 per annum. Payscale.com puts the average salary of aerospace engineers in India at Rs. 8.17 lakhs.

Chemical Engineering

The other top paying engineering discipline or job worldwide is chemical engineering. These engineers are responsible for research, designing and troubleshooting the production processes in large scale industries. The high nature of risk and also the extensive research within the domain makes it one of the best paying engineering jobs. The range of salaries are about $90,000 to $136,000 annually. Glassdoor.co .in estimates the average base pay for chemical engineers at Rs. 5.89 lakhs annually.
